puts "About DotRuby".
DotRuby?
Well, it's us. It's two founders running a successful software company based on their values, years of experience, and technologies of choice. We have both been in the software industry for more than a decade. Along the way, we've seen so many technology trends come and go. The next hype framework was always supposed to revolutionize the way we build software. Guess what, it didn't.
What's held up over the years are the core concepts. Good software architecture. Established technologies. And the ability to actually translate great business ideas into software and vice versa. At least we can say that for the field we work in - web development.
With that comes a deep conviction that we strongly believe in: It's the simple things that matter. As corny as it sounds. Simple - even boring - but proven ideas and technologies. If it sounds too complicated, it probably won't work. The key is to reduce complexity.
We have found our core technology stack that has the same mental business model baked in. It's Ruby as a programming language and the whole community around it. And it's certainly Ruby and Rails as our preferred web framework. It encourages us as developers to think in a certain way about business problems and how to conceptually compress those problems. The development speed is unmatched. It makes us happy.
So DotRuby is our take on our best technology knowledge, paired with many years of product and business leadership. We expand on that and offer our knowledge as a service: For clients as well as for products we develop ourself. To ship things fast but in a professional as possible way. We call this approach pragmatic professionalism. It’s part of our offering.
So again, this is us: If you want to build sustainable online businesses, build entire web applications, or need technical advice, we have the passion, the calm concepts, and the boring technology for you. Talk to us and let's start building.
